Birds are defines as vertebrates that have wings, feathers, and a beak instead of teeth. Compare birds to reptiles and amphibians.
Our theme this week was based on the book One Duck Stuck: A Mucky Ducky Counting Book.

Visit Maymont Nature Center
The Maymont Nature Center is a wonderful resource to view animals that live at the James River. And while our theme was Pond, many of the same animals are at the pond as in the James River. We got to see Turtles, fish, otters (my favorite), and other fish, reptiles and amphibians!
