Ok, so I had the first generation Rebel, which never left auto mode or ever saw another lens other than the kit lens (yes, I just learned what a kit lens was– it is the lens that comes with the camera). So, I spend a lot of time watching a child play, and being the busy body that I am, I need to do something, so what better than snapping photos of my little one. I spent the first year plus using my iPhone. I could get pretty good photos, especially if I added a filter from an app. But then he started moving, and he started moving fast, and well, my iPhone couldn’t keep up. For an early Christmas present I got a new Rebel T3. And bought a 50mm 1.8 lens. Of course, it remained on auto till about three weeks ago when I started doing the 52 weeks, and this week I started a class at UR.
