I had previous written my work from home schedule in late October. You can see the post here. I think as soon as I hit the post button, Kodi moved from two naps to one. The transition was horrible. He started waking up early, going to bed late, not napping. Ugh. But we made it through and we are now settling into what I hope will be our schedule from some time now.
Below is what my day is like 7 days a week. Of course this is an average schedule. Some days are later, some are earlier, some times we are sick, some times he doesn’t nap. But in general this is what my day is like. (and to be honest I have been sleeping later since I was so tired from the lack of sleep in November and December… but this is what I will be doing as well as what we are doing). We also have stopped watching as much TV. I should be saying it is because of me thinking it was not good for him, but he has stopped wanting it now that his teeth are in and he is feeling better. I miss TV time!
6 am- We wake up- hello annoying alarm. Get up eat breakfast and work.
7:00- Scott showers, and then I shower when he is done.
8:00- Kodi wakes up. Drinks his milk while I read him books.
9:00- Kodi eats breakfast.
10:00- Time for a fun activity, outside play, or to run out to the grocery store.
10:30- Snack
12:00- Lunch
12:30– Play at home.
2:00- Nap time. I work. If we are lucky we get 2 hours, if we aren’t lucky it is an hour nap. But on average he has started taking over an hour and half nap, and if he wakes up before 4, he can play in his crib for a bit (with only minor fussing).
4:00- Drinks his milk while I read him books.
4:30- Walk dogs. And/or outside time: Play on the sidewalk and go for a nature walk with Mom. This is Kodi’s fussy time of day so outside time is great to prevent this.
5:30- Dad’s home! One of us cooks dinner, and the other plays with Kodi.
6:30- Dinner together.
7- Bath, if it bath night. We do bath every other day. Scott gives him a bath while I work.
8:00- Bedtime for Kodi. If it isn’t my night to put him to bed, I work.
9:00- Turn off computer. Watch some TV.
9:30- Bedtime for Mama!
Basically for my work my goal is to get at least at least 3 hours a day with a target of 4. I also still have a sitter two days a week for 4 hours. My average work week is around 30 hours.
