I will let pictures speak for itself….
We were also lucky enough that the ultrasound tech took a 3-d picture of our new little guy!
How cute is that face! I am in so in love. Now we just have to give the little guy a name. I knew I was going to have a boy because I had the girl name picked out years ago and have no idea what to name a boy.
Of course the scan today looks for more than just the sex. Most everything looked good. He is measuring at 4 days above his due date. They have him to be due on June 24, and he is measuring June 20 (we have the due date from conception as June 22). He has all his little arms, fingers, legs and toes, and of course a CUTE BUTTON NOSE!
One thing that is a small concern is that the our little guy only has a single umbilical artery (also you can read about it here). It can lead to abnormal developments, and there is a small chance I will end up on bed rest to make sure that all of my energy is going to the baby. The doctors said that this occurs in 1-2% of all normal pregnancies, and that since all else looks good, he should develop fine, but they monitor him a more throughout the pregnancy (which means I get more ultrasounds, which translates to I get to see my cutie every month!). Still as a mama-to-be you want to hear that your little guy is 100% healthy. I am going to try to not worry about something that is not in my hands, and focus on the fact that he measured happy and healthy today, and pray that continues.
Now the count down goes from count the months along, till the months till my little guy enters this wonderful world!
What a cutie! I would know that nose any where. How great to have the 3-D. He will be so spoiled, and rightly so. Love, hugs, and prayers for you three! From all of us here in NV and NV!!!!
I’m sure you will pick a great name. I’ve always have had boy names picked out and no girl names. Interesting.
He will be adorable! And yes loved, spoiled, doted on and then returned to his parents. 🙂
Erica,
Congratulations to you and Scott on your new little boy!! So exciting. I am sure you have told all the animals and are preparing them 🙂
