On December 30, we said goodbye to the sweetest cat I have been able to know, our cat Boo.
Our little Boo, was found with his sister, Zelda, along Riverside Drive on the way to dinner September 4, 2007.
We meet because we saw his sister, Zelda run across the road. Scott looked at me, we both knew, we were going to turn around and try to get her. Luckily I travel prepared with dog treats! We got out of the car, and we could see her in the woods. We put out the treats to get her, and then out pops Boo. It was LOVE. In the five blocks home, I have already named him.
Here is a picture of him with his sister on the first day we brought him home.

He warmed instantly, and made himself right at home.

His sister was the care taker of the two of them. I am sure he never would have made it in “the wild” without her.

Of course EVERYONE loves our cat Pumpkin, and Boo could be found napping along with him often.

Boo was always the first cat to great a new visitor. While he was very friendly he had a quite nature about him.
Of course, with so many animals in our house, each animal carves out their own special time. Boo would tuck me in at night and wake me up in the morning. When I would head to bed, he would run upstairs to jump on the bed in order to get few evening pats. In the morning, the second my breathing changed from sleep to “maybe I might think about waking up,” he would take his paw and tap me to pet him. He would never do it till he noticed the change in breathing. Of course once he thought I “should” be awake, he would tap me with his paw to keep petting me– or as I saw it, “NOPE you may not go back to sleep!” His nickname was the ALARM CAT and his paws were my snooze button!
Scott and I also had a game with his name. We would add his name to words– Like BOO-tiful. Boo-tasitic. Boo-licious. So here is to you Boo, this is your Boo-ulogy.
Below are the last few photos of Boo a few weeks before he contracted a rare and incurable illness called FIP.
Boo, you were a blessing to share this journey with. We love and miss you but I think the one that misses you the most is your sister. But don’t worry about her, she has taking over your morning pat time!
Still hurts. I am so going to miss him loving me when I would walk in. He wouldn’t leave my side no matter who was begging for my attention.
